Alumni Talks on International Women’s Day

Each year, on March 8th, Técnico holds a special edition of the Alumni Talks series to mark the International Women’s Day. This initiative brings together students and alumnae for an informal conversation about academic and professional paths in science, engineering and architecture.

The event highlights the contribution of women in these fields, values their experiences and achievements, and encourages reflection on the importance of visibility, representation and equal opportunities.

By creating space for dialogue between current students and former students, the initiative helps strengthen role models and inspire new generations of women pursuing studies and careers in engineering and related areas.

For about 2 hours, this is an excellent opportunity to share experiences in Técnico as students and in their professional careers, as well as to help female students to get a clearer perception of what it is like to be a Técnico Alumnae in the business world and for students to be sensitive to the issue.

Created in 2014, the Alumni Talks are organized by TT@Técnico with the support of Banco Santander Universities and aim to promote a greater connection between alumni of Instituto Superior Técnico and its students.

This event, in breakfast format, is held in a cozy and relaxed environment, allowing interaction and contact between current Técnico students and some of its alumni, both having Técnico as their second home.

The moments of sharing between our alumni and students are very important to inspire them to design their professional future.
